Las Vegas, Nevada. Limousine manufacturers, operators as well as other key industry players were present in the 2019 LCT Show. As part of our commitment to continually improve our services, VIP Limousine’s VP Philip Keeve attended the 2019 International LCT Show. This was hosted by LCT Luxury Coach and Transportation at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino.
The LCT Show is a great opportunity for networking with other operators. The event lets us do some checking on industry trends around the globe, and seeing the latest and greatest from the livery manufacturers. The State of the Industry session discussed current trends and competition from rideshare services. It also touched on growing market segments and new areas for targeting business.
Jon Taffer of Bar Rescue gave the keynote address, and touched on his own experiences in chauffeured vehicles as a passenger. He offered some clever business insights and service suggestions. We are taking to heart all that was mentioned.
Following these highlighting events, the attention turned to the expo floor, an open forum with a variety of company booths. This consists of operators, manufacturers, coachbuilders, insurance providers, software companies, and much more. Similarly, in the mix are all of the other attendees, typically operators from around the world.
The convention has a global presence. Companies from Brazil, Argentina, China, Hong Kong, South Korea, Japan, France, Germany, Russia, Mexico, Canada, the UK, and others were there. VIP Limousine networked with about 3 dozen different companies providing a variety of services around the world, let alone within the United States.
After the open forum, we went to the penthouse suite at Mandalay Bay to connect with The BLS Company. They have put on a party for their affiliates. It was not just an opportunity to continue meeting other companies, it also gave us a chance to catch up with their management team. We wanted to stay current on their business. We’re very grateful to be working alongside such a fine company and family.
In addition, one of the fun parts about this convention is going out onto the floor to check out new offerings from manufacturers. Ford, Lincoln, General Motors, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, and Volvo all had displays. The displays featured everything from award-winning full-size SUVs to sleek new sedans. We feasted our eyes on redesigned passengers vans and stretch limousines. Coachbuilders were also present. Not only was event sponsor Grech Motors on hand with a huge variety of buses, but also there were exhibits from Royale, Springfield, Tiffany Limousine, and Executive Coach Builders. Some boutique manufacturers on hand with some custom creations, including a convertible sight-seeing Sprinter van were also in attendance.
To sum up, attending this limo show was productive, exciting, and has given our company some new ideas. Stay tuned for exciting developments to help celebrate our 30th anniversary! And if you haven’t seen my Vegas vlog, you may watch it here.
