Prom season 2019

One of the most fun seasons for us at VIP Limousine is just after the peak of wintertime, when the high schools start gearing up for prom season. The young ladies in their colorful dresses, the guys in tailored tuxes, all gathered together for pictures in formation, having a nice dinner, dancing for several's one of the most memorable nights of many Utah teenaged youth, let alone for those across the country.

Many of these groups, whether they are from the Wasatch Front or Wasatch Back, choose our company for a variety of reasons, and have been doing so for 30 years. With the largest limousine fleet in Salt Lake City (and the rest of Utah for that matter), we are able to cover a large swath of the market with ease, reliability, and style. How do we do this?

Our fleet is regularly maintained at a higher standard than what is required of the industry, ensuring safety and reliability along with maintaining good condition. Mechanics, management, and chauffeurs are all on deck to make sure everything is ready to go. If something happens to impact this, we do not send the limo until and unless we are able to remedy the problem.

Our cost is fair. Yes, we're in business to make money, but we can't do that without clients. As a locally-owned and operated company in Utah, we have a pulse on the market and know what our competition is doing. With that, as well as our history of asserting our place in the limousine business, we can offer the best value for your money with our service. We don't have markups or surge pricing, our hourly minimums are lower than other companies, and we're not a booking agency looking to make a cut off the top of another business. This enables us to keep prices and costs lower and thus pass on the savings.

We travel everywhere in Utah. Rain or shine, snow or sleet, our fleet is equipped to take on canyons, dirt roads, steep driveways, and far-flung locations. Our proms have taken place not only around Salt Lake City, but also places like Logan, Vernal, and Payson. Chauffeurs know where they have to go beforehand and are at the beck and call of our clients at all times.

These are just some of the reasons why our clients have chosen us for 30 years and counting. Safety, value, and reliability are all key to a great service, and are integral parts of VIP Limousine.

New blog and the 2019 International LCT Show!

Welcome to VIP Limousine's new blog! The old site had some issues, so we have decided to start from scratch with The Driven Better Difference. If you haven't read our content before, then welcome! If you have before, let's recap.

VIP Limousine was started in Salt Lake City, Utah, in 1989. Since the founding date, the company has grown to be the largest limousine service in the Intermountain West, with 7 limos and a growing black car service. In 30 years, we have been fortunate to work with a wide variety of clientele, ranging from local prom and quinceañera groups to the corporate elite and entertainers from around the world. These also include our wonderful affiliates such as Windy City LimousineElite Limo PlusPontarelli CompaniesAvalon Chauffeured Services, and The BLS Company. We prioritize safety, comfort, and service across the state of Utah.

As part of our commitment to continually improve our services, I attended the 2019 International LCT Show in Las Vegas, Nevada, hosted by LCT Luxury Coach and Transportation at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino. This event is a great opportunity for networking with other operators, checking on industry trends around the globe, and seeing the latest and greatest from the livery manufacturers.

The State of the Industry session discussed current trends and competition from rideshare services, as well as growing market segments and new areas for targeting business. Following this speech, Jon Taffer of Bar Rescue gave the keynote address, and touched on his own experiences in chauffeured vehicles as a passenger. He offered some clever business insights and service suggestions which we are taking to heart.

Following these highlighting events, the attention turned to the expo floor, an open forum with a variety of company booths consisting of operators, manufacturers, coachbuilders, insurance providers, software companies, and much more. In the mix are all of the other attendees, typically operators from around the world. The convention has a global presence, as evinced by the companies from Brazil, Argentina, China, Hong Kong, South Korea, Japan, France, Germany, Russia, Mexico, Canada, the UK, and others. In all, VIP Limousine networked with about 3 dozen different companies providing a variety of services around the world, let alone within the United States.

Following this open forum event, we went up to the penthouse suite at Mandalay Bay to connect with BLS, who put on a party for their affiliates. An opportunity to continue meeting other companies, it also gave us a chance to catch up with their management team to stay current on their business. We're very grateful to be working alongside such a fine company and family.

One of the fun parts about this convention is then going out onto the floor to check out new offerings from manufacturers. Ford, Lincoln, General Motors, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, and Volvo all had displays front and center, featuring everything from award-winning full-size SUVs to sleek new sedans, from redesigned passengers vans to stretch limousines. Taking up even more real estate were the coachbuilders; not only was event sponsor Grech Motors on hand with a huge variety of buses, there were also exhibits from Royale, Springfield, Tiffany Limousine, and Executive Coach Builders. There were a couple of other boutique manufacturers on hand with some custom creations, including a convertible sight-seeing Sprinter van!

As my first limo show, it was productive, invigorating, exciting, and has given our company some new ideas. Stay tuned for exciting developments to help celebrate our 30th anniversary! And if you haven't seen my Vegas vlog, check it out in the video above.
